Great credit is duo to the ladies who provided so many good things, and to the committee for their capable management. The way in which the eatables were disposed of was ample proof of. appreciation of the ladies’ baking. Games and races were indulged in, and the following events took place:—Married ladies’ race, Ist prize box tea, Mrs Baigent; 2nd prize 100 bulbs, Mrs Bandon. Single ladies’ race, Ist prize bridle (presented by Messrs Common, Shelton and Co.), Miss Fisher; 2nd prize handkerchief box (presented by Messrs Adair Bros.), Miss McDonald.
