Protests to bo lodged with the Secretary, in writing, within 15 minutes of the disputed: event, and accompanied by a deposit of £2. Such deposit to be forfeited should the protest not be sustained.
Entries, otc., by telegram must bp confirmed in writing at the earliest opportunity, under a penalty not exceeding £lO. (Vide Rule 45.) No nominations or acceptances will be entertained unless accompanied by necessary fees. In the event of telegraphic communication being interrupted, either on the day of nominations or acceptances, they will bo deferred until one day after communication is renewed.
