Arthur JBall’ngor, of Wcllington, who had ft lead of six points as they went down for the final stage, maintained his advantage, and now holds tho Belt as liis-private property. It was 1872 sinco tho lato Captain Wales, of Dunedin, won the Belt outright, first scoring a win in Napior, and following this up with a victory at Auckland in tho following year.

Mr. Hall-,1 ones congratulated the winners, and said that New Zealand would be represented, in the match against tho Englishmen in Australia. Mr McNab and Mr Carroll also addressed the men, the latter hoping and expressing the ninion that the c .lony should be represented each year at Bisley.
