A .„ Tlio Governor is to bo met at iliatawhoro bridge to-day by roprosontn-1 tivos of tlio County Council and by the East Coast Mounted Ellies, who will form his escort into town. An address of wolcomo from the County will bo delivered at the bridge, ami his Excolleiicy will bo welcomed to the town by the Mayor, who will meot him at tlio town boundary. Lord Plunkett should arrive in tow'll early this evening. Ho is to dine with the Mayor and Councillors at Mr. Townlby’s rosidonco. To-morrow - will ho a very busy day for llis Excellency. In tlio morning a public coroinoiiy of wolcomo will take place at tlio Band Itotunda in Road’s Quay and a lovoo will bo held at His Majesty’s Tlieatro. Staging to bo erected m front of Storey’s Hall whore address will bo read. Governor to bo taken ''a trip on the river in tho aitornoon, Captain Knight offering the Tu Atu 1 for tho purpose.
