CHRISTCHURCH, last night. The annual volunteer shooting competition for Island and District medais, which was commenced Oil Thurjsday was continued at Redcliffs on Saturday, but the strong South-wes-tor that prevailed caused tin? attendance to be small, and the shooting was much below the average. Following were the best scores:—Sergeant Jack 38, Private White 37; SerjtfcuUi'Williamson 33, Bugler VYaddington 31, Sergeant MiirpJw .w> Private Earle 30. H align (Timarit) who mado 50 points on Thursday therefore wins the medal for the Canterbury district.
