ENGINEERS’ AVAGES

RIGHT OF APPEAL OBJECTED TO

F ross Association. AVELLLINGTON, last night. A deputation from tho AVollington Stationary, Traction ,and Locomotive Engine-drivers’ Union waited on the Hons. Findlay arid Millar to-day to complain that the Arbitration Court persisted in differentiating . between the wages of engineers holding competency and those holding service certificates, although tho Statute made no distinction. They also complained that there was no appeal from the Arbitration Court’s decision, and that the Court had power to override Statute law. The Ministers promised . that tlie representations would receivo consideration, though Air. Atillar said he would strenuously' oppose any power of appeal from tho Arbitration Court’s decision.
