A remarkablo rumour concerning M. Jollos’s murder was circulated yesterday. Tho murder was probably duo to a anti-Semitic motives. M. Jollos is a Jew. Tho sensation created by the murder is all the more intense as the “Russkoe Znamya,” the St. Petersburg organ of the Union of the Russian People, yosterday morning appeared with a black cross at tho head of its columns without any explanation. This is popularly associated with the murder, and the evening journal “Segodya” openly connects the two occurrences. Keen observers regard the whole story as a sign that political passions are becoming more inflamed than ever.
