CALCUTTA, May 21. Piudilass, editor and proprietor of the native newspaper India, published in the Punjaub, has been arrested on a charge of inciting the Sepoys to mutiny.
A great Rajput meeting at Patiala strongly condemned sedition, and applauded Sir D. C. J. Ibbotsou’s vigorous action.
The priests of tho Godron Temple at Amritar have issued a manifesto proclaiming tho Sikii’s loyalty and expressing contempt at agitators, also emphasising the good results of British rule.
