MASONIC GATHERING
the installation of Lodge Turanganui) 1480 E.C., was held in the Mtisonic Hall, Childers-road, last night. There was a large attendance brethren from all parts of the world, the occasion being the installation of Bro. A. J. Zachariah as| Worshipful Master for the ensuing year.
The installation ceremony was conducted by Worshipful Bro. W. V. Daw, D.G.S., assisted by Worshipful itro. A. Sturges, D.G.S.W., and Wor. Bro. C. H. Jenkins, D.G.D.C., and Grand Lodge officers. The presenting officers were Bro. E. H. Mann, W.M., Lodge Abereorn, 7G, N.Z., and Bro. W. Saudlant, W.M., Lodge Montrose. The following officers were duly invested: Bro. Primrose, 1.P.M., Bro. A. J. Zachariah, W.M., Bro. C. H. Ambridge, S.W., Bro. W. Mackie, J.W., Bro. W. O. Skeet, P.M. (treasurer), Bro. R. Robertson, P.M. (secretary), Bro. AV. Carroll, S.D., Bro. Chrisp, J.D., Bro. G. Morrison, 1.G., Bro. A. S. Seymour, organist, Bro. Long, S.S., Bro. E. D. Smith, J.S., Bro. G. Humphries, tyler. Bro. J. Georgeson, P.M., acted as master of ceremonies.
After the ceremony the brethren adjourned downstairs, where Bro. Erskine awaited them with a splendidly laid-out supper, which was done full justice to, and reflected credit on the caterer. .Following toasts were proposed and duly honored “The King and Craft,” “Most AVorshipful Grand Master” (the Duke of Connaught), “The Grand Lodge,” “The AVorshipful Master,” “Sister Lodges,” “Ausiting Brethren,” “The Orchestra,” and the Tyler’s toast. Songs were sung during the evening by Bros. Bain, Rowley, H. H. Do Costa, Galloway, E. D. Smith and Rhodes. Bros. J. C. AVoodward and E. IT. Mann sang a duet, and Rev. Bro. Griffin and Bro. AA r oodward gave recitations.
