Mamari is loading in the bay and leaves to-morrow for Auckland. Tho IJ.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera arrived from south early yesterday morning, and proceeded to Auckland at 11 o’clock. Gisborne passengers: Misses Williamson, Massey, Peach; Mesdames Preston, Gray, Hodge, Dawson, King, White, Williams, McTavish, Tohill, Ngata, Redstone, Lindsay, Gordon, Raymond, Gurr, White, Fernie (2), Burton, Johnson, Hecksher, Lloyd, Baird, Dunn; Hawkins; Minta, de Beer, Hargreaves, Burke (2), Cunningham, Buller, Crews (2), Johnston, Hon. Jas. Carroll, and 24 steerage. Advice from Dunedin states that the Union Coy. have placed an order with Doxford and Sous for a 4000ton turret steamer, the principal dimensions being 316 ft by 42ft. The vessel should' reach the colony in tho beginning of 1908. The s.s. Fanny arrives from Napier on Saturday morning and returns in the evening via Waikokopu. The Tyser steamer'Star of Japan arrives from Napier on July 1 and after leading for the Home market, proceeds to Auckland (her final port). The same company’s steamer Indradevi follows on 4th July and leaves for FJapier. Tho IJ.S.S.
