MAORI LAND BOARD.
Tlio following applications came before the Maori Land Hoard yesterday :
Tokomaru K No. 6, 884 acres— Lease for. 25 years to William F. Sinclair at 3s per acre for first 10 years,' 3s 6d next 8 years and 4s remainder of term. As there were several objections against this application the whole of the morning and >art of the afternoon was occupied in learing evidence. The Board subsequently gave its decision in favor of the application.- Mr. Hei-appeared on behalf of Mr. Sinclair and Mr. C. Ferris for the objectors. Tauwhareparai* 2A, 1042 acres— Application for lease for 21 years to Iwmgaro Pot-ae at Is per acre; provisionally approved. Mr. C. Ferris appeared in support of the application.
• Tokomaru K No. S, 285 acres— Application for lease for 21 years to Pineamine Waliapeka, at 3s per acre; struck out on account of informality. .Tokomaru K No. 8, 285 acres—Application for lease for 25 years to Wm. F. Sinclair at 3s per acre first 10 years, 4s next 8 years and 5s remainder of term. Mr. Hoi appeared in support of this application which was formally approved by the Board.
