POISONS BILL.
Press Association. DUNEDIN, Saturday. The Otago Pharmaoeutical Association discussed the proposed Poisons Bill, as introduced last session in Parliament. A resolution was passed stating that the Bill was ill several respects unworkable, inasmuch as it would cause serious inconvenience to the public and impose hardships upon chemists. A tommittee was appointed to draw up a statement as to desirable amendments. It was also decided to protest against the Government’s proposal to place any new Poisons Act under control of the Health Department, the Association being strongly of opinion that the Pharmacy Board should have control, as in Great Britain and other colonies.
