COURSING.
An enthusiastic - meeting of the Poverty Bay Plumpton Coursing Club was held last evening in the Royal Hotel. Dr. Collins was elected to the chair.
The following officers were elected : —President, Mr D. J. Barry ; vicepresidents, Messrs R. Scott, J. H. Martin, T. Baird, C. J. Parker, J. Clark, and Dr; Scott ; general committee, Dr. Collins, Messrs R. G. Hallamore, J. F. Pettie 4 W. D. Lysnar, W. Miller, C. J. Bennett, C. Morse, F. Loomb, G. B. Oman. S. Ensor. A. Ivinnimont, H. Paterson, P. Maher. W. Harding, R. Davidson, and J Law ; lion, treasurer, Mr J. J. Martin ; hon. secretary, Mr Grahami Jon ns bon©.-
The club now boasts a membership of about 80, and tlie enthusiasm shown at last '.night’s meeting evidences the fact that coursing has taken a firm hold upon-a large section of the community of this district. With such an energetic 0011111111106 everything should be in readiness- -at the beginning of next season, ‘and the old hands at the game predict a most successful year.
