United Press Association— Copyright Received In the House of Commons m connection with the Finance Bill MiAsquith resisted an amendment re ducing the income tax to elevenpence, though he denied stating that the tax would be permanently a shilling. Ihe amendment was negatived by Job to 95. Mr. Asquith consented to pensions superannuation allowances deferred pay being treated as earned income and entitled to pay the red ed tax of ninepence.
