THE BUDGET DEBATE.
PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL. Press Association. WELLINGTON, last night. Officials of the Rugby Union, questioned ns to the list of the professional team published On Saturday, said that another list was also in circulation containing 2o names, and different from the others, having three additional Auckland and one Taranaki players. These Baskivillo denied were going. The Union-con-siders Mr. Wylie would not have stated in Sydney that the men had not joined unless they had given him their word, and declined to beliove that-eight or nine would have signed tlia declaration with the intention of breaking it. Tliev do not intend to take any action at present, stating that they prefer to trust the honor of the' players.
