The s.s. Shuriri arrived m the Bay from Napier at 11 a. 111. yesterday. She was despatched to the assistance of the vessel Stanley, but as the weather was too rough for the little vessel to proceed she anchored 111 the Bay to await the abating ot the Heather and further instructions. The following passengers were boohed vesterday afternoon to leave tor Auckland by the U.S.fe. Co. s M aikare, for which the last launch leaves at 9 o’clock this morning: Alisses Sutton, Clune, Rickett, Mesdaines Kickett. W. Allen and 2 children, Messrs. Colebourne Kearsley, 1. Allen, G. Powley, O. Nicholson, Jt. K. Davis, Climo, Aked, Black, E. K. Davis, Allen, H. P. Taylor, Newton, Blake, Webb, Strickett, Churchley, and Bolton. The Miowera did not leave Auckland until 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon, owing to the large amount of cargo to be handled. The Waikare will arrive from Napier early this morning, and proceeds 40 Auckland, the last launch leaving the wharf at 9 a.m. . ’ The Miowera should arrive here from Auckland about 3 o’clock this afternoon. She will proceed south in tlie evening, the last launch leaving at 5 p.m. The schooner Gisborne is nov.-_ engaged loading ballast at the Ivaiti wharf. When ready she proceeds to Auckland for a cargo of timber.
