PERSIAN FRONTIER TROUBLE.
United Press Association—Copyright Received August 12, 9.39 p.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, August 12. Advice has been received that tlie Frontier Commissioners will shortly inquire into the Mewau affair. Turkey and Persia have each given a pledge to punish their own officers, if found guilty. Oil t-lie other hand it is. announced in Teliera-n that Prince Firme, the new Governor of Azerb-Aig-an, has raised at his own expense 10.000 men in readiness to proceed to the frontier. Tlie Prince refused Parliameiit’s offer of £15,000 towards the initial expense of the expedition.
