111 a notice of the above combination the AA’ellington Evening Post of August stli savs :—“There were many quaint and clever items comprised in the programme, and there is something of an educational nature peculiar to several'of the moving p'etures. A lengthy' film, illustrative of the carnival at Nice, was so wonderfully realistic and entertaining that the large audience was moved to loud apple use as the great cars, in the form of counterfeit ships and dragons and argosies, moved past w-itli their terpeicfhorean occupants, followed by thousands of peripatetic m err'--mak-ers extravaga ntl- clad, ‘masking and mumming,’ and disporting themselves in whole-hearted devotion to the passing craze.” It was later on during the same season that Air. Alontgomery produced the AVebb-Towns boat race and the All Black’s football films, both of which will he shown during the company’s Gisborne season next week.
