PERSONAL.
A very pretty wedding took placeyesterday afternoon at 1.30 p.m. at St. Alary’s Church, the contracting parties being Aliss Catherine Gallagher and Mr. Thomas S. AlcGuLe. Air. T. Butler was best man, and Aliss Gallagher, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. After the ceremony t-i.e wedding party repaired to the residence of Mr. G. Carrington, Alakaraku, wlier c the wedding breakfast was partaken of. The guests numbered about 60, and the usual ti asls were duly honored. The happy cniple, who are well known throughout the district, were -the reeipien ts of a great many handsome and costly i. resents. Mr. and Airs. AlcGui'-o left last evening for Tatapouri, where they intend spending their i oneymoon.
The employees at Messrs. Common, •Shelton, and Co.’s warehouse met last evening, when a presentation of a gold wuteh-ehain was made to M" Jas. Wilson, pj'i.or to his depart.i o for Masterton.
Messrs. W. 1). Lysnar and 11. A. Barton, who had been in Welli lgton in connection with the Gisborne Harbor .Bill, returned to Gisborne yesterday. ’ ■
