Press Association. AUCKLAND, September 10. The Clevedon branch of the Farmers’ Union has sent the following resolution to the Executive:—“That if any attempt be made to form a fa tun laborers’ union in this province immediate steps be taken by farmers to combine for the protection oil their own -interests.” The mover said ho desired it to be understood that there was no wish to discourage farm laborers from forming a union. At the same time i.t was, he considered, to ho regretted 'that they were..called upon to move in the matter, as it was the wish of nearly all farmers to help their employees to eventually become their own masters.
