STRIKE OF SYDNEY COAL LUMPERS.
OBJECT TO WORK WITH NONUNIONISTS. THE UNION NO PARTY. United Press Association—Copyright Received Sept. 23, 11.3 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 23. The unionist coal lumpers struck on the steamer Orient and the French steamer Oceanien against working along with non-unionists, and declined to resume until the non-unionists were sent away. The non-unionists claim that this is the culmination of the unionists’ policy of crushing them out, pursued ever since the strike. The officials of the Coal-Lumpers’ Union disclaim any concerted action on the part of the union.
