FOOTBALL.

On Thursday the Whatatutu football team will play a team of Gisborne junior players at Whatatutu. Tlio 'Whatatutu team, which will be the same as that which met the reps, in Gisborne, has been training hard of late, and a good game is expected. The home team will meet the Gisborne team at the Pulia station and drive them to Whatatutu. An enjoyable outing is nromised for the town players. The following will comprise the town team :—Full-back, Olsen; three-quarters, Burke, McLachlan, and Pirie; five-eighths, Rice, and E. Roderick; half, Gideon; wing, McGregor; forwards, Poynton, Seymour, Hird, Thaxter, Hickey, Cooper, and Hutchinson.
