Jackson, Acting-Coroner, and a jury of six, when the following verdict was returned:—“That the deceased William Lutchford was drowned while attempting to cross the Waiapu river at a dangerous crossing on the 3rd. day of September, 1907.” Quite a number of natives are about town from all parts of tho j Coast expecting tho Nativo Land Court to sit. Ono and all regret tho causo of tho adjournment and sympathise with Mr. Judge Jones ill his trouble.
