A return giving the number of applications for 25 sections in Waioika, .Uaiaaiva, and Urutawa survey distucts (Auckland) was presented to larnameut yesterday, and is an object lesson as showing the favor in whioli a land tenure with right of purchasers received in the country. total number of applicants for aid the sections was 1000 on the cash system; on tho occupat ion w.i-tih right of purchase system, 030; on lease-in-perpetuity system, 69. The successful applicants were as follows: —Cash, nil; occupation with right of purchase, 25; lease-in-perpetuity, nil.
