No-Licenso 178,000 The figures for Reduction are not to hand, but the result in Electorates, as already published, is:— CONTINUANCE CARRIED IN 25 ELECTORATES REDUCTION CARRIED IN 65 ELECTORATES No-License was not carried in any Electorate, because the required threefifths was not reached, but NO- LICENSE HAD A CLEAR MAJORITY IN 13 ELECTORATES. One Electorate (Richmond) was only 58 votes behind the tliree-fiftlis. THE REDUCTION VOTE allows for the CLOSING of between 400 and 500 HOTELS. THIS IS A GREAT VICTORY FOR THE TEMPERANCE PARTY.
