Mr. Blake, a farmer, when leaving chapel at Kilconieran, Galway, ratter macs, under police escort-, was thrice shot a.t from the .thicket and mounded in the hip and head. Tlhe outrage is attributed to bis-refusal to surrender to ..the Irish League in connection with his grass farm, held under Lord Ardill’an. Pellets also wounded .Blake’s mother, accompanying him.
