THE UNIONIST PARTY.
SPEECH BY LORD MILNER. WHY NOT UNIONIST LABOR COMMONERS?
United Press Association —Copyright (Received 10.45 p.m., Nov. 20.) LONDON, Nov. 20. Lord Milner, speaking at Rugby, said that while all were for tolerance there were different Unionists in regard to the new fiscal policy. He totally opposed any compromise on principle. There was far less danger in democracy being misled on domestic than oil foreign or Imperial questions. A mistake in domestic policy was rapidly felt and remedied, but electorates were less familiar with in-' terests abroad, and tlie consequences of a mistake did not recoil so directly and unmistakably. The Unionists were not a class but a natioual party. Why not Unionist Labor equally with Radical Labor Commoners ?
