A North Canterbury remit to the effect that every school should have at, least CO per cent of adult teachers was lost, it being stated that in the majority of eases the proportion was already' 60 per cent in Auckland. A recommendation that the Ariuistor be asked to provide for a revision of existing provisions for quarterly adjustment of staffing was lest. The Promotion Committee’s report is the first order of tho day for tomorrow.
