RECOATMENDATIONS REGAR DIXO STAFFING. Tress Association. AUCKLAND, Jan. 2. At the Education Conference tonic amendments were made to clauses ol thi' constitution. A motion to delete the clause that non-official members of tho Executive who have acted for four years continuously shall not he eligible for re-elect ion until the expiration of 12 months was carried by 20 to 16. Other resolutions proposing minor amendments which appeared on the order paper were also carried. A Wellington ■ recommendation affirming the desirability of revising the scale of staffing with a view to strengthening the stall's so as to*.avoid undulv largo classes was carried. A North Canterbury remit to the effect that every school should have at, least CO per cent of adult teachers was lost, it being stated that in the majority of eases the proportion was already' 60 per cent in Auckland. A recommendation that the Ariuistor be asked to provide for a revision of existing provisions for quarterly adjustment of staffing was lest. The Promotion Committee’s report is the first order of tho day for tomorrow.
