Mr. E. Atmore, representing the National Mutual Life Association, arrives by Saturday’s boat. Friday’s Wellington Post states: —

“Mr. E. Gohns, of the Labor Department, leaves for Gisborne to-day to ta'kc over his new duties as Inspector of Factories at that town. Yesterday Mr. Gohns was presented with a silver-mounted walking-stick by his fellow-workers. Prior to joining the Department Mr. Gohns was secretary for a number of industrial workers’ unions in Christchurch.” Air. Donald leaves for Wellington to-night.
