POLLARD’S OPERA COMPANY.

Tlie box plans for the return season of Pollard’s Opera Company, commencing on Wednesday next, will be opened at Miller’s Corner at 10 this morning, when there is sure to be a keen demand for seats. The opening production will be' TThe Islo of Bdng Bong.” ''A Southern paper says:—“The book of ‘The Bio of Bong Bong’ is well above tlio average English musical comedy, and the wit is of the funniest order. There is a certain verve and prettiness about the music that- is, done full justice to by this excellent company, and the setting given to the piece can only be described as gorgeous, into which Mr. Tudor Williams has put some of bis best work. The first scene represents in glowing colours a vista of palm trees, gleaming sands, and the ocean blue stretching away into the infinite as seen from the front of a bungalow that lias a dash of old Seville about its shaded entrance. Not less attractive is the second act,, depicting a night scene in a tropical jungle, in the centre of which is an Indian encampment. “The Isle of Bong Bong" will be repeated 1 oil Thursday evening, and “Bluebell in Fairyland” on Friday. and a special performance of “His Highness the liey” on Saturday, the list night of the season.
