Hist Grand Bro. J. Warren said that, ho wins very glad to seo the lodge rewarding its officers. Ho referred to tllio excellent work of Past Grand Bro. Ambridgo. As to the reason of the presentation, tllioy all knew of tho work he had done at Lodge and out of it to encourage in every way and to further the intoresifs of Inis Lodge, and he bad not spared Ids owm time. During his term of office, 16 years, Bro. Ambritlge always had his accounts and papers in a perfect state, and everything was done properly. (Cheers.) The Lodge’ had decided to mako him a 'useful present, and the roller desk had been chosen, and they all freely joined in expressing their heartfelt wishes to their brother. Tho spepker referred to Airs. Ambridgo’s self-de-nial in tho matter, and for her they had chosen a silver tea-set as'a. souvenir. 'Bro. Ambridgo had done his duty honorably, nobly, and faithfully, and he deserved the highest esteem of all. (Applause.)

Past Grand Bro. ScUiwuhe added his quota, and said that he hoped Bno. Aniibrid.ge would live long among them all. . Air. AY. L. File (Foresters) said he w.as extremely pleased to bo present, and he endorsed the remarks prevliously made. lie had known the guest of tho evening since his arrival in this town, and could testify as to his -worth. Ho was also very pleased that Airs. Ambridgo was being appreciated.

The nexit speaker was Air. AV. J. L. Whin ray (Druids), who said he felt very proud indeed to attend tho gathering, and regretted that a more able and eloquent representative was not present. He referred to the necessity of having a real live secretary, as such a man was the backbone of a Lodge.

Alessrs. R. Robb and E. D. Smith (American Constitution of Oddfellows), H. J. Alley (Hibernians), and Coleman (Rechahites), also expressed tho .good wishes of their respective Bodges. In reply, Bro. Ambridgo returned thanks for the presents. He particularly thanked the members for their thoughtfulness in making, tho double presentation. which would be handed down in due course. AVhatever lie had done in the way of helping now members or other matters had been a labor of love to him, and he was 'always delighted to discuss friendly sooiety matters with anyone. He trusted that his _ health would remain good' and liis interest in the work would never wane. (Applause.) During the evening songs, recitations, etc., were rendered by the following gentlemen:—Alessrs. AlcGibbon. G. G. Bloore, Glee Company, G. flo’.d'iniiib, H. J. Grieve, Horne, Sun. and AY. I:. File.
