SOME NARROW ESCAPES
NEW PLY,MOUTH, Feb. 10. BiuJh fires have broken out along the coast, nest of Aft. Egrnont. A bouse on Jva'iiui-ioad was destroyed on (Sunday, and several. others are having an anxious time, but the local rain this morning was timely. WELLINGTON, Feb. 10. News is to band that Messrs. Bebar and Gardiner’s sawmill, two miles from Tailiape. has been destroyed by liiiiih fires, The mill wns about to out out, and the plant was to be removed shortly.
