SHEEP DIPS.

A.n INTERESTING EXPERIMENT BY A AA’ELL-KNOAVN HAAVKE’S ‘JAY SHEEP-BREEDER, AND ITS SEQUEL. Last dipping season, at the request ol Messrs Quibell Bros.’ New Zealand representative, Mr Archibald McLean, ol Greenhill, Hastings,, kindly unde, took to conduct an experiment with Quibell’s Powder Dip and two other of the most- popular powder sheep-dipping compounds at present on the market. The terms of competition were equal in every respect, the three lots of sheep being grazed on the same pastuies and subjected to the same climatic conditions throughout the whiter, which was one of the wettest and most trying tor sheep dips on record. Mr. McLean’s report, therefore, cannot fail to be of the greatest possible interest and importZeakuid. AVriting under date 12tli November, 1907, he reports as follows—viz.: “Last season 1 dipped 1200 ewe hogp . s ''"Ah Quibell’s ‘Patent’ Powder Dip before venturing to use it extensively, the result being that the sheep were absolutely clear of lice and ticks, and tlie wool in splendid condition. To show my satisfaction with “ie trial I now have pleasure in ordering from you this season “Enough Powder Dip for Maraekakalio Station for 40,000 sheep; “Enough Powder Dip for Greenhill Station for 10,000 sheep.” The above result speaks for itself, uid Air. McLean's experience with Quibell’s Patent Powder Dip is in full accord with those of other prominent breeders throughout New Zealand and the world generally.
