Tho arrangements for the coming race meeting on Thursday and Friday arc well forward. The -acceptances for the first- day are very good and large fields-and good -racing should be the result. The bookmakers will, of course be present n-nd it is intended to close the totalisa.tor three minutes before each race starts. The usual bell indications will be used m connection with the machine. Among the m-inv improvements effected lately by the Club lias been the -installation of the water supply on the grounds. A caretaker’s -residence lias- also been erected since the last -meeting. The course is very cool, no matter what the weather may be -as there are s-pleiKkil trees at the back of the lawn, and theso wh. p-ro-v-ido ample shade -and _ form ideal places for luncheon par-ties, et-c. _ The train arrangements will nil m nieelv The first tra-in leaves at 1— noon', and will arrive in timo for tho first- race and tho second leaves at 1 p.m. and this will bo in tiuno for the second race. Only good weather is needed to make the meeting a success m every The services of the Vita fit-ring Band have been secured to play on the lawn.
