SLY-CROG SELLING.
A CONVICTION. Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 14. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day, John Smith, a seaman, who had been boarding at Barrie’s boarding-house, Wellington, was fined £lO and costs tor sly-grog selling at the boardinghouse. Notice of appeal was given. David Barrie and Mary Barrie were charged with b ing occupiers of premises on -which illegal sales of liquor had taken plat?. The case was adjourned till the appeal in the Smith case is decided.
