FINANCIAL PANIC IN JAPAN.
TWELVE FIRMS FAIL. THREE BANKS SUSPEND. United Press Association—Copyright TOKIO, February 24. A serious finanical panic prevails in Japan. Twelve Japanese firms, chiefly dealing in metals, at Osaka, Ryoto, and Kobe have failed, their liabilities amounting to £600,000. Three small Tokio banks have suspended. Runs are proceeding on other banks.
