89 CASES IN THREE MONTHS.
Press Association. AUCKLAND, Eeb. 26. There is an epidemic of typhoid lover in Auckland, and 89 eases have Ihmmi reported in tho city mid subuibs, .since December Ist. Dr. Purdy estimates that fever costs Auckland £!•>,- 300 a year for hospital cases alone, a sum which would capitalise at £300,000 Probably the total cost or enteric, he says, would equal the cost of Mr. Midglcy Taylor’s draining scheme. .
