-Vt the Gisborne Club’s green on Saturday afternoon the following ordinary games were played : Jones, Golebrook, T. Clarkson and Birss i*Q)
beat Hobbs, Redstone,. Fordyeo and Wilson (11); Zaohariah Collins, i’iivitt and Ponslonl (2S) beat 1 altridge, Somplo, Bright and Martin (22). Ponsford and Martin played a singles game, which was of a close ami interesting character throughout, the score being even on the lot.li head, when the game was abandoned through failing light.
