Co.’s Squall leaves Auckland at 2 p.m. to-day for Tolaga Bay and Gisborne. The shipments from Gisborne b.y the Tyser liner Nereliana were as follow: 18,103 carcases mutton, 118 carcases lamb. 392 quarters beef, 91 casks tallow, 292 casks pelts, 43 packages sundries, 1749 bales wool. The U.S.S. Co.’s AVairuna left Napier on Thursday evening for Auckland direct. 'Her Gisborne cargo will probably come to hand by the Squall, arriving from Auckland on Monday. The three-masted topsail scow’ Zingara has finished discharge, and she leaves at 7 o’clock this morning to load timber at Wliangaroa for Auckland. The U.S.S. Co.’s Wlinngape arrived early yesterday morning from Newcastle via Auckland with 400 tons of coal. It was hoped to despatch her at an early hour this morning for Napier. The West-port Coal Co.’s steamer Regains arrived in the Bav at an early hour yesterday morning. She is a comparatively now vessel, bav-. ing arrived in Westport in October last ,and the present is -her maiden visit to Gisborne. She was built by Messrs Swan, Hunter and AVigham ■at Newcastle-on-Tyne. She is a vessel of 584 gross and 227 tons net ' register, is 170 ft long, has a beam of 29ft. lOim.-juul a draught of lift. Sin. (She Ins-three holds in which about £OO tons can be stored. The Regains replaces the barquentine Frank Guy "in the Westport-Gisborne c-oal trade, the barquent-ine having been taken out of commission. SLe has accommodation for two passengers but has not yet been certificated to carry passengers.
