DEATH OF AN OLD SETTLER.
Press Association. / WELLINGTON, March 12. j One of Wellington’s pioneers, Air. Isaac Plimmer, died at the age Of 74 last night. He was the eldest son of the late Mr. J. Plimmer, and came out with his parents in'the ship Gertrude in 1831. Mr. Isaac Plimmer was associated with his father in many of his business enterprises of early Wellington, and was licensee of the Albert- and Farret’s Hotels. Hiis connection with local business undertakings was varied and extensive. Mrs. I. Plimmer died 18 months ago, and there is no family. Deceased, who was born near Shrewsbury, is survived by liis brothel’s, Messrs J. Plimmer and C. Plimmer, and his sisters, Mesdames Richardson and H. Gaby.
