United Press Association —Copyrigh! AUCKLAND, March 13. At the AA’aitcmnta Swimming Club’s carnival to-night M. E. Champion lowered tho New Zealand record for one mile by lmin 3-sscc, swimming the distance in 27min 13 2-ssec. He leaves to-morrow to compete in tho Napier championships.
