SITTINGS AT PALMERSTON

PALMERSTON, March 16

At the criminal sessions of the Supremo Court to-day the grand jury returned true bills in the cases of Edward Jones alias Johns, charged with indecent assault; Francis Eobt. Linton, charged with a broach of the Bankruptcy Act; Harry Deely, theft; Robert Mclhvare, assault and causing actual bodily harm; Frederick James Symoiuls, assault and robber-'- • John Gascoigne Weight man, perjury • Clins. Fitton, assault: Emanuel, manslaughter: Wm. Waugh, wounding; Jolm Clialker,. assault and robbery; Albert Duncan Brown, alias Brown, assault- and robbery; Patrick Walsh, breaking and entering; Jas. Little, breach of the Bankruptcy Act. The jury returned no* bill in the ease of Thos. Wilson Potts, charged with having committed a breach of the Bankruptcy Act. Harry Deely, charged with the theft of an overcoat containing a poe-ket-boo’k with £lO and a pair of gloves, was found not guilty Edward Jones alias Johns was found guilty of indecent assault on a little girl at Ashnrst, and will bo brought up for sentence to-morrow. Richard Mcllwane was found not guilty of the charge of assaulting Robert Richardson at Koeke.
