L\y evangelist praises the HOAIE.
Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 22. The To Oranga enquiry was continued yesterday, when Mr. J. , - Sinaill, a lay evangelist, uho lias made a practice of visiting the Home regularly since its inception, gave evidence. 'Ho stated that- it was one of the best managed institutions in tlio Dominion, and doing excellent uork under the care of Mrs. Brauting, who alwavs watched over the inmates with motherly care. In regard to classification, he thought the first step .necessary was a kind of receiving building, as a place where new arrivals coukl bo placed, and whence they could be drafted into the higher classes according to their conduct. This poition should be under tho control of an assistant of kindly disposition, and one who had real lovo tor the work. Girls should be encouraged to lead better lives, and every inducement offered them to graduate to tho highest classes in the institution.
