SITTINGS AT PALAIERSTON
Press Association. < PALMERSTON, March 24. The sittings of the Supreme Court were continued to-day, before llr Justice Cooper, when Dora Alary Stevenson claimed £3OO for specific peri ol inance, also asking for possession and judgment for certain money paid to defendant. A large amount of evidence was taken, after hearing which His Honor awarded plaintiff damages,, with costs on tlic lowest scale.
SITTINGS IN NELSON. A LABOR CASE. NELSON, -March 24. At the Supreme Court to-day, before his Honor Air Justice Chapman, the Inspector of Awards applied for an attachment order, under section 10 of the Industrial, Conciliation, and Arbitration Act, - against LyUnc* Smith, for failure to pay fine* of to 14s and £3 145,/ inflicted bv the Aibitration Court in JulyThe defence was that the defendant had not received notice to attend before the Arbitration Court, and h counsel raised the point "hctli Arbitration Court, under s-ircli r j cumstances, hail lurisdictio • .
