KAITI-CITY CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the KaitiCity Football Club was hold at tho Royal Hotel last night. _ Air. W. Johnston occupied tho chair. The annual report stated that during the rear tho credit balance had been doubled, and reference was made to the successful playing year. “Shortly after the season, closed, the report continued, “a social was held in His Majesty's Theatre, at which trophies, kindly presented by friends of the club, were presented as follows: Best senior forward player, B. Lowe; best senior back, G. Rows; most improved senior forward, J. Nicolas; most improved senior back I. G. Grinlinton; best all- r round kick, H. AI. Pullett; best jun-> ior forward, G. Buttenvorth; best junior back, A. Luttrcll; best thud forward, L. Nicolas; best third back, C. Pollock.” . A-fair sum had been paid into the Riu'by Union’s accident insurance fund, but a number of incapacitated players had been helped by the fund. Mention, was made of tho visits of teams a J - Easter. Tho balance-sheet showed that tho receipts during the year totalled £63 7s 3d, and the expenditure £57 Is 9d. Tho Chairman said that tho good financial position of the club was undoubtedly duo in a measure to the Rugby Union’s rule that only iiuaiicinf members should bo allowed to play. A vote of condolence was passed to tho family of the late Mr. J. A. Harding, who had been a keen supporter of the. club. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Al. Sogedin, who last season donated caiis for iunior players. Mr 1100-g asked as to who should have the ’benefit of tho Rugby Union’s insurance fund. —Mr. \\ illork said the Union had had small funds at: the time tho first chums were made, and they had declined to pay one claim, as the injury was not considered serious enough.
