DROWNED AT WAIROA.

ANOTHER FATALITY.

Press Association. WAIROA, March 20. Last night tan intoxicated young native named Karaikana, aged 2b, single, fell or jumped from the Wairoa bridge near the drawspan, and was drowned. A person crossing heard gasps in the water and gave the atlann. Two boats went to the lescue, but there was no sign of anyone. The body was recovered at 1 o clock. An inquest will be held.

Mr Barton, District Coroner, has been advised that a native named Mate Hiaeronga fell ofl’ the bridge last night and was drowned. . The body was recovered.
