EXCITING CONTEST PROMISED

(Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, March 25. The contest for the City Mayoralty, between the Hon. T. W. Hislop and Mr. Aitken, M.P., promises to be closer and more exciting than usual. On the last- occasion on which they met at a civic election, Mr. Aitken easily defeated both Mr. Hislop and Mr. Wilford, but since then the boundaries of the city have been altered, and Mr. Hislop is more popular with the masses than he was then.
