BLENHEIM. March 25. The Hons. McNab and Mills met tho Marlborough Cook Memorial Committee at Shiiis Cove, and participated in the selection of a site for the monument which is to mark Captain Cook’s landing-place and rendezvous.

The Minister, with Mr. Ritchie, also inspected a colony of Angora goats on Moturoa Island, opposite the cove at Picton. At Blenheim the Minister took part in a reception of the crews which were successful at the championship regatta at Napier. To-morrow morning lie inspects the Wairau and Opawa fords on the main Blenheim to Nelson road, which local agitation seeks to have bridged, and then goes on to Sedclon to inspect the Starborough settlement and the adjoining lands, proceeding through Flaxbourne, and on to Christchurch. This is the Minister’s first journey along this route, which is the route of the South Island trunk railway.
