The “Times” military correspondent in an article headed “Armed Australia,” recommended the Commonwealth in the event of Mr Dcakm s plan being accepted, to devote its best efforts to the providing of a highly' educated bodv of officers, and a solid permanent staff, and the best system of field artillery and military. The “Times” declares that if Mr Dealun s scheme is passed it will giy° “ic Motherland a lead, which is badlywanted.
