NEW RESTRICTIONS. INCREASE FROMUNITED STATES

United Press Association —Copyright (Received March 26, 11.44 p.m.) OTTAWA, March 26. Owing to the Bill embodying Mr. Justice Clement’s decision, as cabled yesterday, being rushed through, tho Dominion Parliament will admit only immigrants direct from their land of birth. The immigration to Canada in January and February from the United States increased by 61 per cent-, but decreased by 36 per cent through ocean ports.
